Healthy Living Series Presented at Fullerton Community Center

Fullerton, Ca – The Fullerton Community Center will help residents live healthier lives in the New Year with a five-week nutrition series entitled, “Eat Healthy – Be Active.” The series will be held on Mondays, beginning March 7 and running through April 4 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Attendees will learn how to make better choices when dining, and how to be more active to help prevent obesity, diabetes and other health-related problems.  Based on the nutritional ‘MyPlate’ concept, the series will target building a healthy plate, planning healthier meals, shopping on a limited budget, developing a better understanding of labels, and making healthier beverage choices.  Each class includes a food demonstration.

These free classes are sponsored by the Adult Public Health Nursing Services, Orange County Health Care Agency.  Pre-registration is requested by calling (714) 738-6305.

The Fullerton Community Center is located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., across the street from City Hall.  For more information call the Fullerton Community Center at (714) 738- 6305.  Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the series are asked to notify the staff prior to March 7.
